Our models, 100 % optimized from the factory, are suitable as well for live performances as for the studio and are totally configurable concerning the tuning thanks to their Direct Tuning System (D.T.S.).

After the success obtained with the first series, which appeared as a limited edition, we haven’t had more remedy than to keep making it. But not satisfied with just continuing it, we have improved it a 200 %. Without any doubt we have the best cajon on the market in its price segment.

This time again the price is not reflecting the quality of the instrument. Here you have something extremely good, a real “killer”. The most powerful cajon that you can imagine. Super bright and forceful high notes (which in skilled hands can cloud the sight) and a very low frequency bass with an astonishing power … of course inside our philosophy of “non resonance” (aspect which makes the bass sound dirty and ugly in a considerable way; not tolerated by studio engineers nor live-technicians who are looking for a clear balance between bass and high notes and a sharp, clean and blunt bass sound).

In J.Leiva Percussion we have a lot of faith in this cajon since it is our “war horse” for the present economic situation. Nor expensive, nor cheap but with a professional sound which can cost around 300 euros or more in other brands. 

Its spectacular nature is not given by magic art, we are working in this product range for more than a year but with a special care in this model since we wanted to be able to offer an excellent product at a low price.

It has a very meticulous inner work and some improvements which other manufactures won’t disregard.

After having spent one year in its development we put at your reach a cajon with a very professional sound, nice and delicate, a very wide dynamic range and an amazing capability of response to the changes of volume of the hit. This cajon is ready every time it’s asked to be – with its sound quality and its capability to “captivate” the most demanding professional.

As we use to do in our brand, once again we overtake our competitors in our own inimitable way: working without rest in order to present and offer with pride something new, innovative and never seen before on the market.

Many of the people who read this could think it is not true since there are at least two systems on the market which make the same as our B.Box.
Alright! As our customers know, if something we are working on is not a novelty and does not offer innovation, we prefer not to make it, because as our philosophy says: the motivation and only guide in our way are INNOVATION and SINCERITY. We still keep this always in mind, otherwise J.Leiva Percussion would stop to exist. 


Now we put at the reach of our customers a product (a new patent which has been developed under cooperation with D.G.) which, due to its novelty, will be a “point of departure”. Not only the product as a whole but also the developed technic is new, because until now all pedal-devices for cajon knocked always on the front panel in one or another way and always with a remote (steel-)cable-system.

We are not going to discuss that cable-systems do not work very well with pedal-devices. This seems to be well known by any percussionist, because otherwise all the double pedal-devices for bass drums would be manufactured by this way. 

As everybody knows, only smooth, fast and reliable double pedal-devices are the ones with (telescopic, articulated) rigid rod. It is very well known by drummers and percussionists and it has been more than proven along the years.

In J. Leiva Percussion we have understood in our own way the ideal way to turn a cajon into one more element … into a BASS DRUM! But not any which way, but thinking (as we always do) to add a plus, an extra, a contribution which makes it “one of a kind”.
We have got the first pedal-device for cajon which really works and makes it regardless of the front panel, since the player hits on the side of the box.

Why not to contribute a little bit to the reforestation? Why not to start having consciousness about the situation we are involved? Maybe we won’t fix anything but we really want to contribute with our “grain of sand” to the environment. This is how our Eco-cajon (Medina-Series) is born. A very special cajon with a very special sound.

Manufactured in solid recycled plywood-board made of Chilean pine tree. An excellent wood with some excellent features against breaks and traction. This board is made with the joint system called “Finger joint” which gives a structural rigidity, even superior to the normal plywood board, having as result the ideal and utopian “solid wood cajon” which is almost impossible to manufacture because it uses to get sliced as the time goes by.

We have spent more than a year in the development and tests in this instrument, so the customer can be sure about the product.
This is a cajon with excellent acoustic features and an amazing sound due to the brightness and the elegance of its high notes and its bass, powerful and velvety at the same time. At last, an innovative cajon which combines a breaking aesthetic with the simplicity of design.

Besides, it is the first being manufactured with this kind of material and this method.
