j.Leiva Percussion Present: the first paneled structural skeleton cajon in the world. This cajon is made with our new structural construccion system named: P.S.S. (paneled structural skeleton).

The idea was introduce the most powerfull conventional cajon in the market, with the most powerfull and deepest bass sound, under the standard cajons measurements. A big Challenge! We have been testing for three years with and without microphoning, Live (stage) and studio recordings. The results are very surprised to us! Made from an initial paneled Walnut wood. All is assembled at the same time with 12mm Russian birch Pannels. The reason for this construccion method, is simple: more rigid structure=clear definition sound. Incredible balance between trebble and bass sounds. We use 3T (3000 kgs) press for assembly and glued. This means: the most strong rigid structure in the cajon world¡ You will don´t find nothing similar in the market for this price. In addition to this, Omeya CUBO incorpores our new “On-Off-Expand System”. Is an exterior bass-Expander that you can put-on or put-off when you likes.

This new system uses a new sujeccion system trough 8 extra-hard attraction neodimiun magnets. This assure your bass sound improving in a 30% more, at the same time assure no bad sounds in the sujeccion. The policy of our enterprise makes us always be on the lookout for the opinions of the musicians in the percussion world. So it is not coincidence that this model appears after having taken into account the opinions, tastes and points of view of musicians and professionals of the “world of the sound”.

We tried to create a cajon with explosive high notes and configurable bass notes without manufacturing a “monster” (measurements) that would be hard to carry. That is the reason why we don’t scrimp in technical investment in J. Leiva Percussion in order to make our ideas come true. And our idea was conceived after many proofs and rehearsals and from there the OMEYA BASS STUDIO “appeared”.

It is a spectacular cajon in sound and design and amazing in technical advances applied to this kind of instrument. So we can offer to the audience the first cajon in the world with configurable bass notes “à la carte” regarding to the frequency (hz) of the bass notes and also regarding to the location: we can get them in the Bass Reflex way (from under the cajon) and the conventional way (conventional opening on the backside). 

So we think that we have and can offer the final/definitive cajon, usable for everything that we have in mind and with the capability of adaptation to the musical environment required: studio, live performance, with or without amplification.

Omeya ZETA Series.

Based in our Built-in front frame  new concept used in our famous Omeya Evo ll, we present  one of our best cajons.

This cajón is new and different:  is completely handcrafted in our Factory from the beggining Wood, to the strings. All is made specially for this model.

First you can see is the bi-coloured tone and the frontal lines on the front-plate

The Body-Chassis from this cajón is made with two differents noble Woods: Coto and Mukaly with 16 mm thick. Both semi-weight Woods with 580-600 kg/cubic meters from specific weight.

The new and different thing is that this type of Wood is nos avaliable in the market, because is completely made from us: assembly, pressing and calibrated in Leiva, using ancient and traditional techniques together with Hig-End machinery, for get a very good manufactruring standard.

In addition, this cajón have a new Wallnut Built-In front frame for put the front-plate “into” This Wallnut front-frame is extremely hard and so strong for support: weight, press and hits. Fort the moment is not copy for other makers, because is totally new and exclusive.

This front-plate assure a total tightness, sturdiness, precission and make round and confortable  the corners for a extremely comfortable playing.

The front-plate is made in 3,6mm Russian Birch and have a rough surface with the posibility to use brushes, nails and hands for make a lot of effects.

This surface is made with an special rough product for make a big durability and abrasión resistance. Fort he rest, we follow putting our fidelity in our DTS system.

The strings for this cajón are also made in Spain and custom-made for the J.Leiva Company. are the new 0,42 cajon strings, which uses a reinforced stainless steel core surrounded by a B20 bell-bronze winding. The strengths of these strings are their full balanced sound, which ranges from powerful basses to crisp highs. This also significantly improved the cajons’ sustain and the brilliance of the strings

Also this cajón have our new developed special string guide, that avoid the, 90% of all conventional string tears on overstretching can therefore be ruled out.

We decided to make this cajón after a lot of requests from our customers and distributors.

As you can see, this model is made in 100% Plexiglass, except the front-panel who is made from 3,2mm Russian Birch Wood.

When we decided to manufacture it, we did it from the initial acoustic material point of view, and we have been able discover that the plexiglass is a very good material for sound, complying very well with the J.Leiva Sound-Standards.

After developing, making and checking it, we can assure you that is one of our best models, and may be one of the most better models in the market for studio recordings.
